EAFC Director of Rugby
We are looking for a dynamic leader to become Edinburgh Accies Director of Rugby. The successful candidate will be responsible for all senior rugby matters at the Club through the management of our Senior Rugby Group. The Senior Rugby Group works alongside our Minis, Finance & Commerce and Clubhouse sub-groups and includes the appropriate voluntary representatives from each area of senior rugby i.e. XVs, 7s and Vets mens rugby.
The Director of Rugby reports direct to the Board and will have the support of our Honorary President, Vice-President and the Board to ensure Edinburgh Accies senior rugby regularly fields competitive XVs and VIIs teams in leading competitions built on a strong and social playing and supporter base.
Key Senior Rugby Duties
To foster a culture of positivity and inclusivity in line with club and rugby values whilst collaborating with the wider club.
The recruitment, retention and development of players, coaches, team managers and medical support at the club.
Attend Scottish Rugby forums and meetings on behalf of the club and ensure an appropriate understanding and compliance of Scottish Rugby policies.
Ensure suitable and safe training and playing environment and facilities to support senior rugby delivery.
Produce and manage budgets for senior rugby delivery in collaboration with Club Treasurer.
The role is ideally suited for an individual with a passion for rugby and Edinburgh Accies, the ability to lead and manage people and collaborate with internal and external partners, and reasonable knowledge or experience playing or coaching in Scottish club rugby.
It is a voluntary role and the time commitment required to deliver is not expected to be overly onerous. We welcome all applications or inquiries to discuss.
